how should i describe today's dazu? Gd? beyond words?? =D
I was thr abt 7.45 am, and i put my bag down in the CO rm and went outside to look around and chat wif some chior boys. Some people say i was emoing lols XP. WEnt back to rm later, watched some people play chinese chess and later set up dazu...... blah blah the normal things which we always do. However today was somewat different. quite alot of people didnt come, and i was expecting the quality of 丰年祭to be damm sux.Mr Goh started off wif the erhu, while he wait for the gaosheng to come. After 45 mins screwing us all, he finally came =D. Started the song, but at first it sounded funny. Then came the first house, then the cello started to spam and add some accent to the first 2 bars. I think it all started that. they said is was poh hu asked them to add the extra thingy. LOL
the suona couldnt get some part of the song, but at least John was thr. He helped alittle(or mayb alot). hahaz...... the first 1.5 hrs was quite boring, till after the break, some sections started competing on the loudness they can play. WOW? cello and pipa, i dunno abt the rest ;P. We started all over again, and the speed started off like 60 crotchets/min. then at bar 27, it flew up to 168 beats per min. damm loud, considering the amt of ppl hu was thr. at bar 133 i think, gaohu was slow?? mr goh went to the actual speed of the song, way much faster than what he usually does. wonder wat prompted him to do dat? We spam the whole song. And i think one of the pipa string broke... Well my didnt =D but when i always strum 4 strings at the end of the first hse, my finger nail flew away from my finger T.T. then came the exciting part, but nid to pick up my nail and put it on. how to prevent mini rockets from launching itself? Somemore today's was the futherest, flew abt like 1m++? Kinna crazy. cello was loud, similar to other sections. After conducting the whole song with minimal stopage, Mr Goh was panting. LOL? He used alot of energy.
Actually i think it is because of the speed and the length of the song that is tiring. I think he even went faster than the original speed, cuz i dun remember it to b so fast. This time at least can feel the 气氛 of this song. I wonder how it will sound like if more people came today. Looking forward to nxt dazu=D can compete again wif cello...lols. Well i notice when charlton come, wai hong doesnt come, and if wai hong comes, charlton doesnt. Wonder if the both of them can come and each paly their own percussion instrument, it should sound nicer.
